Hi, it's me again, Li'l Miss spooky. Today I have a very interesting topic -zombies. Everybody knows what zombies are: creatures of the undead, their favourite food is brains and other gross stuff. Anyway, I got the topic zombies because a few months ago, my dad introduced a new game to me called Plants vs Zomies. It's really cool! My dad has it on his ipod and my mom has it on her iphone. Anyway, if you want to know how cool the game is, play it to find out! The zombie picture I got is a 'football zombie' from Plants vs Zombies. He's really tough to defeat, you know. Manananggal

Hi it's me again, long time no see!

Today I'm talking about a Philippine monster called a Manananggal (pronounced "Ma-na-nang-gaal"). These creatures resemble Vampires from western myth. They are evil, cannibal witches who in the daytime look like normal humans. However at night, they split into two halves. The top half of the body flies away and perches on rooftops waiting for victims whose organs she can suck with her very long tongue. The bottom half is left behind wherever the Manananggal was originally.

Manananggals can be found in the provinces of Capiz and Antique in the Philipines. Relatives of the Manananggal can be found in Indonesian and Malaysian fokelore. I guess they would be a type of Pontianak. I haven't seen any in Singapore but if there were any, maybe you would find them hanging from a tree in Pulau Ubin. Watch out for Manananggal spit when you walk around! One drop will turn you into one of them!

Old folks say that you can kill a Manananggal using a sharp knife, sunlight,vinegar or even using the tail of a stingray to whip it to death.My dad says that you can also put ashes and garlic on the bottom half so that the two halves can't connect back. Sunlight will kill the top half, and I guess you can use the lower half as an unusual sidetable.

All About Empousai

Hi, Li'l Miss Spooky here. Today I am going to talk about a monster I learnt in a book called "Percy Jackson and the Battle Of the Labyrinth". ''Percy Jackson'' is sort of like a series of books I really like to read. I also have another favourite book called ''The 39 clues'' .Well, lets get back to the monster I will talk about today. Today I am going to talk about Empousai. Empousai are sort of like vampires, but the Greek type. Anyway,the book says that they have:Red eyes,fangs (Of course), legs(The left one is brown and shaggy with a donkey's hoof,the right one is a human leg but it is made with bronze. (This is the book,not me.) Anyway, I don't have any pictures about Empousai,because my book dosen't have any pictures .

Witches and Warlocks

Hi,Li'l Miss Spooky here again. This time,I have another thing to share with you: Witches and Warlocks. First,let's talk about Witches. Witches are people with the ability to fly on magic brooms and create magic potions and spells. Most people say they have cauldrons, but I'm not really sure. Others say they have black cats. Some people also say that people turn into Witches or Warlocks by encountering the Devil. Anyway,to end of our talk about Witches and start with Warlocks, Here is a picture of a Witch ( I think.) Anyway, let's start with Warlocks now. Warlocks are simply male Witches with a different name. Warlocks are actually just like Witches,exept that the warlocks are male and Witches are Female and they have a different name. Anyway, the story is getting too long for me to type. The Pink Ghost of Singapore

Hi ! I've been thinking about what to write on my blog until it popped into my head to make a movie instead. This is my first film and its called "The Pink Ghost of Singapore ". I made this film using my dad's old celephone and my mom helped me edit it on her Macbook.It was really fun filmimg my entire family including my dog especially during the Easter holidays. Vashta Nerada

Hi,Li'l Miss Spooky here from a loooong school vacation! Anyway,enough about me.Because,people reading the blog I owe you a CONGRAGULATIONS!!! The congragultions over there is because I am going to let Doctor Who fans look at my blog from time to time.Yay!!! Anyway,here's a new Docter Who villan:The Vashta Nerada. I am guessing now that the first question forming into your head (For non-Docter Who fans) what are the Vashta Nerada? If your heads are struggling to figure out the anwser,I might as well tell you.The Vashta Nerada are creatures that live in the shadows.(If you watch the episode Scilence In The Library ,I guess you would already know.) Anyway,as I was saying,they live in the shadows and if you accidently step into a place infested with them,I suggest you should take out your flashlight andstay in the light as much as possible.Unless that place has lights.Thats all the advice for staying alive if you find Vashta Nerada.Bye for now!

Ghosts

There's something spooky again from li'l miss spooky.This time,we're talking about ghosts.If you've haven't seen them before,let me explain what they do and how they look like.Firstly,ghosts are transparent.Way......transparent.As transparent as these ghosts crossing the street.(I meant the ones on your right.Other people just like to stick to the ghosts we all know.You know,the sheet ghosts with holes for eyes... Anyway,some people belive they're the ghosts of dead people or loved ones. Anyway,erlier we were talking about those sheet ghosts...right? If you want to see how they look like,you could just look in the centre of this post.I mean the top of it.On the top left you can see the ghost of two men,part of a ship's crew.Thanks for reading!

Gremlins

Have you watched gremlins? If you did,then you already know they are a menace to your house.But if you did not know,then you can listen to me.Once you recive one,there are only 3 rules of taking care of a gremlin...don't feed them after midnight,don't let them out in the sunlight(They'll die),And last but not least,don't get them wet.If you watch the movie,you'll know why not to get them wet.I know what happens,but I don't want to spill the secret. Okay,okay I'll tell you the secret.When you recive it,It'll be a cute,fluffy animal.In the movie,a little boy forgets these three rules.What happend is that one of his friends came over and accidently spilled a glass of water beside the furry creature,and then it multiplied actually the boy who had the furry creature was feeding them,but he did not notice that it was after midnight,because they ate the clock! Actually,nobody says eat the clock anymore or do they...never mind.On the top of this post is a gremlin,actually the baby form is the furry creature that is called a magui.Magui's are black,peach and white.But gremlins are green,scary,eat people and have a bad attitude.There's one more gremlin that dosen't appear in the movie.You can see it at the bottem of this post.But for now,bye-bye!

All About Ghouls

Do you know what is a ghoul?If you don't,you've come to the right blog.A ghoul,can come in any kind.Actually,ghouls are sort of interesting.Ghouls are a scary sort of ghost.They look scary,but what I think is that they absorb a scary skeleton if it is a skeleton ghoul.Ghouls might look like dead people or a sort of animal.This old lady skeleton is actually a ghoul! Actually,I even nicknamed this ghoul.I call it,the Black Widow.I call it Black Widow,because it has a black cape and the only word after, that popped into my was widow.Now,I think you are getting creeped out by now,so I'm going to tell you about another type of ghoul.But there's one problem,I don't know about it!Never mind,anyway I've still got the picture.Whew! That was close.Oh,did I say one?I ment two!By the way,bye-bye!

Warewolves

As you've seen in my first post,I said I also like warewolves.Warewolves are people who turn into wolves.But unlike other wolves,warewolves eat humans! I know it sounds scary,but its just what they do.Warewolves have the same details as a wolf,but sometimes I see one detail of a horse.Warewolves only come out at night because they change back to humans in the morning.Some people entitle them as hideous,scary,creepy and frightening.And sometimes they howl at the moon,I don't know why but I think its crazy.They usually stand on rocks when they howl.But bye-bye for now!

Pumpkins for halloween!

Last halloween,I went to my friends house.We took the taxi,because it was far.When we got there,since it was halloween their house was decorated to the bone.But there was one thing that that I thought that was really creative.Have you guessed?If your answer was pumpkin heads,that was the correct answer!Actually,did you know,that another word for pumpkin heads is jack-o-latern?If you didden't,now you know!Jack-o-lanterns come in many different shapes.You can ask your mum or dad to help you make them for halloween,and you can get carving ideas from the picture on the right.But the greatest part of all,is that they come in any shape you like!Actually,I saw a dracle-lantern instead of a jack-o-lantern!You can see it at the bottem of this post.Ha ha, to me it looks funny.

Scary Creatures

I love scary creatures! No matter how scary they are.Say,have you ever heard about a poulterguist? A poulterguist is a sort of ghost causes chaos,instruments to play by themselves and make chairs and tables fly.It is also really noisy.But the problem is, you just can't see them! Another scary animal is called a gorgon or Medusa.She or rather,it has snakes in her hair! But the scariest part is that if you look at them,you turn to stone.It also has a story,but I can't really remember it.But,seriously in real life you cannot put snakes in your hair.Another scary creature is a snake-person at least that's what I call it but my mum calls it a snake-man. But I really don't know the name of it.But trust me,you cannot look at its photo for a very long time,you might panic. It also has scales allover its face.

World without trees? Scary!!!

I love trees! even if they're scary like this one.Last night when I was getting ready to sleep,my mum told me all about trees and global warming.She said there's a hole in the force-field around the earth.What she means is that the poison gasses from our aircon,cars,morterbikes and even farts of cows made this hole! But most of all because bad people burn trees.Anyway,did you notice that paper comes from trees?My mum said if we waste paper,its like killing more trees! Actually,I even recycle by myself! I also use scratch-paper for my drawings,but I start to notice my plastic bags I use for recycling always gets thrown away by my father.Anyway,I can't amagine a world without trees.My mum says there will be floods and poisonus air all-over and no more favorite fruit to be eaten! Besides,how can my sister and me have a tree-house without trees? My sister likes to climb up things and so do I too! Besides,how can I enjoy the view from my bus window if there aren't any trees? I also can't wait to go to the park and have our picnic.Our whole family can climb up the trees and hang around like wild things! But how can we do that without trees? Better ask yourself later!

Weeping angels

One time,my family turned on the computer,went on to the website youtube and we watched blink!That was when we met the weeping angel.Since then,that was always one of my dad's favorite movies!I can give the details of the weeping angels.Well they, had they actually looked like your normal stone angel.But nobody in the movie even thought to look inside.But if you want to know what's inside there are ailens inside, follow where-ever you go and when they touch you you get transported into the past or to the future!And the rules in the movie are, don't move don't look away and DON'T BLINK! Those are sure lot of rules.But I'm just telling ya,it's just from the movie!But on the left,that's a screaming angle.That's a evolved form of a weeping angel.They sort of put their hands down in a basic way to form a screaming angel!

Spooky Daleks

On Father's day me and my mom got a dalek the dalek was not spooky nor scary it was super scary ! It had a suit in the middle inside the suit there was a creature from your worst nightmares.But it was a good thing it was remote controlled me and my dad loved it!But I was a little sad because there wasn't any openable middle.But in the scientific part I would say the non-fiction part is that daleks do not exist and I'm not scared by them.It even had speech and a blinking blue light!On the left you can see the creature revealed from the suit.And it was hilarious making it chase after our terrified dog Prince! You can catch daleks on the tv show Docter Who!

Well I wanted this blog because having a spooky blog might be fun and it is fun!I love having a blog! I named it The Spooky Science lair because I wanted something spooky. I love spooky stuff like ghosts,vampires and ware-wolves.Actually having a blog is one of the best things I've ever done. And right now I'm lost for words. I know that dragons and tarantula's are not spooky but I like them anyway.I love haunted houses too.Also mutant rats and black cats even if some people are scared by them.
